The heritage brand and Royal residence’s third collab comes into bloom.
In keeping with ready-to-wear's love of all things bright and beautiful this season, Burberry has partnered with Highgrove, the private residence of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla, to create a limited-edition scarf and trench coat collection. The collaboration is the third between heritage brand Burberry, itself a Royal Warrant holder, and Highgrove Gardens, located in Gloucestershire.
“Each organic silk square is produced in Italy and finished with a hand-rolled edge”
Along with a silk-lined delphinium-print Castleford trench coat (£2,490), take your pick from four vibrant floral scarf prints, all with suitably pastoral names such as 'Meadow' (£370) and all featuring the vibrant paintings of British artist Holly Mills. As part of the creative process, Mills, herself a graduate of the Royal Drawing School founded in 2000 by the arts-loving King and artist Catherine Goodman, set up her easel in the royal gardens last summer just as the wildflowers and delphiniums were in full bloom.
With a little hint of a pop art screen print about them, each organic silk square is produced in Italy and finished with a hand-rolled edge to ensure long-lasting quality. Whether worn over the neckline of a white tee or wrapped around the knot of a ponytail, these timeless classics should see you through this summer's key social events – from Royal Ascot to Wimbledon, and many a chic, alfresco affair in between.
