Hermès Creates A New Oasis At Its Bond Street Store

Hermès

To celebrate the summer months, Hermès has transformed its terrace at the New Bond Street store into a contemporary oasis to create a peaceful sanctuary for visitors to enjoy.

Opening on 28th June, the garden was designed by renowned Garden and Landscape designer Sarah Price, who took inspiration from the Maison's theme of the year, ‘Hermès, A Human Odyssey’. Price brings together plants, herbs, flowers, and trees from the Greek islands, the Garrigue of southern mainland France and Fynbos of South Africa to create an enclosed place of beauty, scent and comfort. In the middle of the Afghani Fig trees, lavenders and elegant Wisteria, sits Henry Moore's sculpture ‘Draped Reclining Figure’.

After the summer, all the plants and materials used in the garden will be donated to The Exchange, a community-run organisation that uses the heritage of Erith’s Old Library in south-east London as a space that was designed and built by local people to inspire new community-led programmes and activities.

Visit the garden at Hermès, 155 New Bond Street W1S 2RH, from 28th June to 1st August.
