London Fashion Week: The Spring/Summer 2024 Collections
From Gucci's gleaming new flagship on New Bond Street to Chanel and Balenciaga, Bond Street provides the perfect backdrop to the Spring/Summer 2024 show season. And this month is no exception. Commencing Friday Sept 15 and concluding Monday Sept 18, trust London Fashion Week to deliver plenty of sartorial surprises, parties and unmissable events.
Day one kicks off with runway presentations from Bora Aksu and Mark Fast as well as a collective showing from Fashion East. On the Saturday, all eyes will be on LFW stalwarts, JW Anderson, Roksanda and Richard Quinn. Later that evening, Claridge's will be celebrating 24 years of 10 Magazine with an exhibition and party in its ground-breaking ArtSpace.
On Sunday, it's the turn of Simone Rocha and Erdem to reveal their take on the new season. Fast forward to Monday when Bond Street favourite, Burberry, will be showing at 4pm. While we can't predict what chief creative officer, Daniel Lee, has up his sleeve, this is bound to be another big season for the heritage house, returning to the capital after a three-year absence.
The last official show day also sees London-based LVMH Prize semi-finalist Aaron Esh's highly anticipated debut. Come evening, Bond Street neighbour, Banshee of Savile Row, the first female tailoring house on this historic street, will be showing a presentation exclusively in the Metaverse.
London Fashion Week also celebrates three decades of its BFC Newgen initiative with a must-see exhibition: 'Rebel: 30 Years of London Fashion'. Sponsored by Alexander McQueen and featuring the work of prolific British designers such as Kim Jones of Fendi and Dior fame, Mary Katrantzou and Christopher Raeburn, it will run at the Design Museum from Sept 15-Feb 11, 2024.
With so much to see and do around town this September, you'll find everything you need for a stylish show season right here on Bond Street. See you soon!
