Art and Afternoon Tea at Sketch This Spring
sketch Mother's Day Easter Mayfair in Bloom Afternoon TeaBy now, Dry January is long gone and you'll have had your fill of kale smoothies, ready to indulge again with a delicious afternoon tea in plush surroundings. In which case, there's nowhere quite like Sketch. This spring, the stylish Mayfair haunt is pulling out all the stops with its delicious new-season afternoon teas, each priced from £95.
Served from 8th-11th March, the new Mother's Day tea featuring a delicious array of sweet and savoury delights provides the perfect excuse to treat the woman, or women, you hold most dear in your life. Menu highlights include pillowy fruit scones topped with Cornish cream, strawberry and poppy jam, and lashings of select teas or Louis Pommery, Brut Rosé.
Easter afternoon tea, 29th March-1st April, also promises some chocolate delights along with signature assorted sandwiches including coronation chicken, all served in the reimagined Gallery restaurant. Once a vision in powder pink and now a masterpiece in mellow yellow, the restaurant revamp is the result of a collaboration between Sketch and the artist Yinka Shonibare and designer India Mahdavi in 2022.
Thanks to Sketch’s forward-thinking founder, Mourad Mazouz, the restaurant continues to combine art, music, design and gastronomy, all in beautiful surroundings. The magnificent lobby, with its stunning central staircase, the high-ceilinged rooms and elegant façade provide the perfect backdrop to small- and large-scale contemporary artworks.
Speaking of which, as part of the restaurant's Mayfair in Bloom floral installation, running 29th April-27th May, those with a love of afternoon tea can enjoy the finest patisserie, finger sandwiches and a selection of refreshing tea blends in a truly unique setting.
Now that should put a spring in your step!
